Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Effect on level of serum level of oxidative stress associated markers (superoxide dismutase, Glutathione peroxidase, Glutathione S-transferase, Malondialdehyde and t ROS) before and after surgery.Timepoint: 1.Before induction of anesthesia 2 Immediate postoperative period and 3 48 hrs after surgery

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. Change in level of serum level of cytokines (IL-1β, IL-6, IL-17, IL-33 and TNF-α; IL-10 and TGF-beta) before and after surgery. 2. Change in level of immune cells (neutrophil subsets, T cells, monocytes) before and after surgery. 3. Change in level of serum level of epinephrine/norepinephrine before and after surgery.Timepoint: 1. Before induction of anesthesia 2. Immediate postoperative period and 3. 48 hrs after surgery
