Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: symptomatic benign and malignant thyroid nodules who require total thyroidectomy as per ATA guidelines.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients not willing to participate in the study. 2. Patients who have pre and/or post op recurrent/ superior laryngeal nerve palsy. 3. Patients diagnosed with benign vocal fold lesions like vocal cord nodule, polyps, cysts and neuromuscular disorders which can independently affect voice.
