Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Comparison of first attempt success rate of blind intubation through LMA Blockbuster v/s Ambu Auragain in patients planned for tracheal intubation under general anaesthesia.Timepoint: From the time of insertion of SAD to confirmation of correct placement by end tidal CO2 waveforms and confirmation of correct placement of ETT by end tidal CO2 waveforms. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| a) Time of insertion of Supraglottic device and endotracheal intubation b) Ease of insertion of supraglottic device and endotracheal tube c) Adequacy of ventilation with supraglottic devices d) Oropharyngeal leak pressure e) Intraoperative haemodynamics of the patients f) Post operative complicationsTimepoint: Time required for insertion of supraglottic airway device will be from the time of taking the device in hand till confirmation of proper placement of the device by appearance of end tidal CO2 waveform. Time taken for blind intubation will be from time of taking endotracheal tube in hand till confirmation of proper placement of the endotracheal tube by appearance of end tidal CO2 waeforms. Intraoperative haemodynamics will be monitored every 2 mins. | — |
