Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Patients of either sex between 1-15 years of age • Patients weighing between 5 - 70 kgs • Patients of height 65 - 175 cms • Patients belonging to ASA physical status grade I â?? II • Patients undergoing elective surgeries under general anaesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients refusing to participate in study 2. Children with upper respiratory tract infection 3. Children with Restricted mouth opening, trismus, pharyngo - perilaryngeal abscess, trauma or mass in the pharynx,retrognathia 4. Patients with Congenital heart disease 5. Patients with increased risk of pulmonary aspiration. 6. Body mass Index of 25 Kg/m2 7. Reactive airway or parenchymal disease. 8. Patients with history of respiratory, renal or hepatic disease 9. Patients undergoing emergency surgery
