Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Group 1: ART-naïve CLHIV, Group 2: CLHIV on ART (for >=1y duration on current ART regimen), Group 3: Age-matched healthy controls

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Poor adherence to ART ( =1month duration, anti-tuberculous/ isoniazid preventive therapy (IPT), CLHIV on second line ART (virological failure) and those receiving immunomodulators or anti-oxidant supplements within the preceding 3 months
