Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patient should qualify for knee arthroscopy, which has been planned as a part of standard care.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Systemic arthritis or any comorbidities. Previous chondral surgery. Obesity. Pregnancy. Radiological osteoarthritis. Severe alcoholism or drug abuse.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To assess the regeneration of articular cartilage in patients with Grade 2 & 3 of osteoarthritis.Timepoint: 6 months, 12 months, 24 months.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To assess the efficacy of the tissue engineered construct in articular cartilage regeneration and formation of mechanically robust tissueTimepoint: 6 months, 12 months, 24 months
