Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 Age 18 to 70 years 2 All genders 3 Diagnosis of chronic insomnia by the criteria of ICSD-3. 4 A score of 5 or more in the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) 5 Willingness to participate in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Patient less than 18 years and more than 70 years. 2 A diagnosed case of a sleep disorder other than insomnia. 3 Pregnant or lactating women. 4 Current or past psychological treatment of insomnia within the past 5 years 5 Patient currently on hypnotics and other medications known to alter sleep. 6 Alcohol or drug abuse within past six months. 7 Known cases of Parkinsonism, chorea, epilepsy, dementia. 8 Patients with uncontrolled systemic diseases. 9 Patients of skin diseases like eczema, scabies and psoriasis . 10 Unwillingness or inability to comply the requirements of the protocol.
