Intervention1: Nurse-led De-stressful Skill Interventions: A total of 7 sessions (Face to face and telephonic sessions) of Nurse-led De-stressful Skill Interventions (NDSI) will be delivered in 8 week

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with depression are diagnosed by a treating psychiatrist according to ICD criteria of any subtype. Aged between 18 to 65 years. Patients on psychotropic medications for their clinical treatment. To have own mobile connection. Participants who can read and write Hindi or English language. Participants are available during the data collection period.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The patient has very severe depression (HDRS-17 scale score > 23). Patient with active suicidal ideations and active psychosis. Patient with other neurological conditions. Patients with co-morbid chronic medical conditions (eg. Cancer, CCF, kidney disease, AIDS, diabetes).

MeasureTime frame
1. Stress will be measured by the Perceived Stress Scale-10 (PSS-10), 2. Resilience will be measured by the Brief Resilience Scale (BRS) 3. Self-esteem will be measured by the Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale (RSE), 4. Coping strategies will be measured by the Brief COPE scale. 5. Quality of life will be measured by Quality of Life Enjoyment and Satisfaction Questionnaire Short Form (Q-LES-Q-SF) Timepoint: At Baseline, 8 weeks, and 12 weeks.

The depressive severity will be measured with HDRS-17 (Hamilton Depression Rating Scale-17)Timepoint: At Baseline, 8 weeks, and 12 weeks.
