Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patient aged between 18-70 years. Patient fit for matra basti procedure. Patient not having any oil allergy . Patient fulfilling diagnostic criteria for insomnia. Patient of insomnia with controlled hypertension,mild depression and anxiety disorders without any complaints of any other major diseases.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient having allergy with oil application especially through anal route. Patient having any severe psychiatric disorder (schizophrenia, bipolar disorder). Pregnant and lactating women. Patient with other complications of the disease or systemic involvements, which interfere with the treatment were excluded.

Subjective parameter : like sleeplessnes,sleep quality, after awakening:: Fresh o sleepy and fatigued 1 poor concentration 2 Poor problem solving 3 sleep time,normal 6-8 hrs . Patient assessed on the basis of scoring in the above parameters. Associated complaints like: Akshigaurav,Shirogaurava,Alasya,Jrimbha,Angamarda,Glani,Bhrama,Ajirna,Kshudamanda etc.Timepoint: At baseline:Patient will be assessed at the time of enrollment. After 2 weeks:Patient will be assessed at the end of treatment. After 4 weeks:Patient will be assessed at the time of followup.
