Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All willing cervical myelopathy patients undergoing surgery in prone position who are: a)Aged 18 years or more b)Nurickâ??s grade 2 or more who have been symptomatic for 6 months

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: a)Atlanto axial dislocation b)Cervico-medullary junction pathology. c)Spinal tumour pathology d)Uncontrolled diabetes mellitus e)Uncontrolled hypertension f)Patients positioned prone in the awake state (before induction of anaesthesia)

MeasureTime frame
To measure the sensitivity and specificity of IVC collapsibility index in predicting hemodynamic changes ( heart rate, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and mean arterial pressure) measured after prone positioning under general anaesthesiaTimepoint: baseline before induction of anaesthesia, 2 minutes after induction of anaesthesia, before prone positioning, immediately after prone positioning and every 5 minutes thereafter till 20 minutes after positioning or until surgical incision
