Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.American society of Anaesthesiologist (ASA) Physical Status I and II posted for elective lower abdominal surgeries. 2.Patients of age 18-60 years 3.Pregnant women. 4.Surgeries with duration more than 30 min and less than 2 hours (120 minutes).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.History of allergy to the drugs used in the study like ropivacaine, magnesium sulphate, dexamethasone. 2.All contraindication to spinal anaesthesia like coagulopathy, infection at the site of injection
