Intervention1: tab.Fe(200)oral iron tablet: twice a day after food (lunch and dinner) for 3 months (90days) Control Intervention1: no oral iron supplementation (control): nil 3months(90days)

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Diagnosed case of T2DM having IDA attending Medicine OPD and admitted in Medicine wards.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1)Severe anemia (Hb (2)Non ambulatory patients (3)Active gastrointestinal bleeding (on medical record) (4)Anemia secondary to hemolysis (on medical record) (5)Patients with allergy to iron supplements (on history) (6)Already taking iron therapy and have no recovery (on medical record) (7)Pregnancy and Lactation. (8)Patient with chronic renal failure/liver disease. (9)Malignancy
