Intervention1: NIL: NIL Control Intervention1: Facial emotion Recognition Tool: It consists of 70 faces with 7 emotions including joy, sadness, anger, disgust, fear, surprise and neutral will be taken

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Control Group -Individuals above the age of 18 and above. Only males will be recruited. Individuals with clinically normal cognitive functions, as assessed by screening tools will be recruited for the study. Alcohol Dependence syndrome group - Individuals above the age of 18 and above. Only males will be recruited. Individuals with clinically normal cognitive functions, as assessed by screening tools will be recruited for the study. Diagnosis of Alcohol Dependence Syndrome by a psychiatrist is mandatory

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Control Group -Individuals with a history of any major neurological illnesses or injuries, such as cerebrovascular diseases, dementia, epilepsy, traumatic brain injury etc. will be excluded from the study. Individuals with major psychiatric illnesses, as psychosis, mood disorders, and OCD will be excluded from participation. Individuals not amenable for assessment i.e., those with no visual, auditory, or other such impairments, will also not be included in the study. Except Tobacco Dependence Syndrome, individuals with other comorbidities will be excluded. Alcohol Dependence syndrome group - Major neurological illnesses or injuries and major psychiatric illnesses ( Except Tobacco Dependence Syndrome)
