Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All Outpatient and Inpatient consultations during the study period from the Department of Psychiatry, with a diagnosis of Schizophrenia as per ICD 10 criteria with a minimum illness duration of two years at the time of enrollment into the study. Patients who do not have severe illness ( CGI S score less than or equal to 4 and individual score on BPRS 24 scale on questions 9,10,11,12,15,21,23 and 24 less than 4). Patients who can give written informed consent for the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients having major medical comorbidities and other comorbid psychiatric illnesses including substance abuse except nicotine.
