Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 - Duration of mechanical ventilation of 48 h 2 - Clinical suspicion of VAP based on two or more of the following criteria: A -Body temperature of >38.50°C or B -White blood cell count >10,000 or cells/mm3 , C -Purulent tracheal secretions, D -PaO2 /FIO2 E -Newly appeared CXR infiltrate

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Refusal of Consent 2 Ongoing pneumonia 3 Addition or escalation of antibiotics before performing Lung Ultrasound, Bronchoalveolar Lavage 4 Pneumothorax 5 Emphysema 6 Thoracic dressing
