Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Preterm babies with GA 28wks 0/7days to 36wks 6/7days with mild respiratory distress classified using lung USG with score less than 8 with in 2hrs after birth

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Major congenital malformations incompatible with life. 2.Outborn admitted after 2hrs of life 3.Needing mechanical ventilation within 2hrs of life 4.Cyanotic congenital heart disease

1.Nasal trauma 2.Clinical and sonological correlation 3. Early initiation of KMC 4. ? Parent comfortness during KMC 5. Duration of respiratory support 6.Retinopathy of prematurity 7.BPD 8.Need for surfactant therapy in both the groups Timepoint: until discharge or death
