Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children aged 6-10 years with no previous dentist exposure. 2. Children with Franklâ??s behavior rating 2 or 3. 3. Dental caries with a localized enamel breakdown without clinical signs of dentinal involvement (international caries detection and assessment system (ICDAS) score 3 requiring restorations without local anesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria 1. Children with a previous history of dental treatment 2. Children whose parents give a history of systemic illnesses, physical or intellectual disabilities 3. Children with dental caries showing signs of dentinal involvement

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The efficacy of origami, building blocks and clay will be assessed based on the anxiety levels of the child pre intervention, post- intervention and post treatment.Timepoint: The pulse rate will be measured at baseline, after the chosen intervention and after the treatment. Facial Image Scale will be measured after the treatment.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To assess patient and parent compliance and acceptance of clay therapy, building blocks and origami in the management of dental anxietyTimepoint: Parent acceptance is assessed after the treatment using a 5 point Likert Scale after the treatment is completed.
