Intervention1: Superior trunk block of brachial plexus: Preoperatively all recruited patients will undergo an USG examination of diaphragm (side of surgery) excursion in sitting position.

Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: patients undergoing elective proximal humerus or shoulder surgery. ASA grades I-III
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients refusing to participate in the study. History of allergy to local anesthetics. Patients with coagulopathy or infection at the site of block. Patients with psychiatric illness or cognitive dysfunction. Patients having severe pulmonary disease. Patients with preexisting neuropathy of upper limb. Patients with preexisting diaphragmatic dysfunction. Patients with body mass index (BMI) of >35kg/m2.
