Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
intra-operative Pain during root canal treatment at any stage (access opening, dentin penetration or file insertion), moderate to severe pain (on VAS) will be counted as failure of IANB. No pain or mild pain will be counted as success of IANB.Timepoint: intra-operative pain (recorded on VAS scale) at any time during treatment specifically at dentin penetration, pulp chamber entry and during file insertion. Pain will only be observed intraoperatively (during treatment) only. at any point if patient feels moderate to severe pain it will be counted as failure of IANB
