Intervention1: oral brivaracetam: oral brivaracetam 2 mg/kg/day daily in two divided doses for 6-months Control Intervention1: oral oxcarbazepine: oral oxcarbazepine 20 mg/kg/day daily in two divided

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Newly diagnosed cases of focal epilepsy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Co-existent generalized seizure History of allergy to either brivaracetam or oxcarbazepine
