Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients are posted for following surgery- 1.Epigastric hernia 2.Umbilical hernia 3. Para-umbilical hernia 4.Incisional hernia 5. inguinal hernia 6. extra-parietal swelling.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients unfit for surgery. 2. Strangulated hernia 3. Known cases of Allergy for Sulphur, Arsenic. 4. History of hypersensitivity or serious adverse reaction to cefuroxime. 5. Uncontrolled diabetes mellitus and blood pressure. 6. Impaired renal function 7. Impaired liver function 8. Clinical or microbiological evidences of infection within 48 hour prior to surgery. 9. HIV, HbsAg, HCV positive patient
