Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Undergoing Total/Subtotal/ Near total thyroidectomy.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Pregnancy and lactation 2. Retrosternal extension 3. Known Chronic Kidney disease 4. Proven Parathyroid disease 5. H/o previous neck surgery

1. Occurance of post-operative hypocalcemia (Serum ionized calcium level 4.8mg/dl). 2. Parathormone levels.Timepoint: baseline, Post operative day 1,2 7,14 and day 90
