Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients of Iron-deficiency anemia (IDA) Patients > 18 years, both sexes shall be included
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Pregnant women/ lactating women Patients with anemia of chronic disease, haemolytic anemia, hemoglobinopathies, Vitamin B12 or folic acid deficiency anemia in isolation Patients with leukemia, tuberculosis, autoimmune disease, infectious disease, and other malignancies (not in remission) Patients with liver, kidney disease (CKD >3) Patients with chronic inflammatory disease Patients with celiac disease, gastric surgery, malabsorption (based on history/current clinical evaluation) shall be excluded Patients not giving informed consent or those withdrawing consent at any time prior to statistical analysis.

| 1. To correlate the prevalence of anemia in patients consuming water purified by reverse osmosis and un-purified tap water. Timepoint: 3 years;2. To correlate the prevalence of anemia with socioeconomic conditions and type of cookware used by the patients (plasma levels of aluminium). Timepoint: 3 years;3. To evaluate the efficacy of 12 weeks of iron-folic acid therapy alone or in combination with vitamin D and/or essential elements in anemic patients with or without stress. Timepoint: 3 years;4. To correlate the levels of biomarkers (TSH, ferritin, transferrin, TIBC, hepcidin) in anemic patients with or without stress.Timepoint: 3 years | — |
