Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients between the age group of 18 years to 65 years. 2. Posterior teeth diagnosed with apical periodontitis, based on clinical and radiographic examination (Loss of lamina dura and widening of PDL space).
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. History of any chronic diseases (such as diabetes mellitus, known cardiac conditions, kidney disease, liver disease, autoimmune disorders and malignant neoplasms )and abnormal physical examination findings, especially signs and symptoms of any infectious disease. 2. Subjects with poor oral hygiene, deep periodontal pockets, mild/ moderate/ severe periodontitis. 3. Recent hospitalization within the last 1 year. 4. Patients who have taken systemic antibiotics/corticosteroids within the past three months.
