Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: age 18-70 years, confirmed case of TBI with GCS 13 or less

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: age less than 18 years. medical or psychological problems not related to TBI that could disturb interpretation of results, including drug or alcohol abuse. previously known hypothalamic or pituitary dysfunction or history of cranial irradiation or pregnancy

1. Measurement of serum catecholamine levels in moderate to severe TBI patients 2. Study the correlation of serum catecholamine levels with Glasgow outcome scale in moderate and severe head injury 3.Study the correlation of serum catecholamine levels with computerised tomography findings in moderate and severe head injury. Timepoint: Day 1 : Day 7

1)Correlation of serum catecholamine levels and systemic complications during ICU stay 2)Correlation of serum catecholamine levels with ICU stay and hospital stay. 3) Correlation of serum catecholamine levels with death during hospital admission, and intensive care unit stay.Timepoint: 0,7,14,21 days
