Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: All patients aged between 10 to 60 years of age presented to surgical department with diagnosis of acute appendicitis.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Diffuse peritonitis 2.Appendicular mass 3.Appendicular abscess 4.Antibiotic documented allergy 5.Ongoing previously commenced antibiotic therapy 6.Previous appendectomy 7. Positive pregnancy test 8. IBD history or suspicion of IBD re-occurrence 9. Modified Alvarado score below 7.
