Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Primary diagnosis of AECOPD.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients whose primary reason for admission is other than AECOPD will be excluded from the study. Hence patients with the following diseases will be excluded from the study. Bronchial asthma acute exacerbation. Bronchiectasis infective exacerbation. Interstitial lung disease exacerbation. Lung cancer. Pneumothorax. Congestive cardiac failure. Acute on chronic decompensated liver disease. Acute on chronic decompensated renal disease. Psychiatric illness.
