Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: INCLUSION CRITERIA (GROUP A) 1.First Degree Relatives of Dementia 2.Family History of Dementia in First degree relatives. 3.First degree relatives of subjects in patient group of either sex.  4.Aged between 18-50 years. 5.No comorbid psychiatric illness,substance use,psychosis,mood disorders. 6.Participants giving written informed consent. 7.Score of 3 or less on General Health Questionnaire 12 (GHQ 12) INCLUSION CRITERIA (GROUP B) Healthy Controls 1.Score of 3 or less on General Health Questionnaire-12 2.Matched with group A in respect to age, sex, education, and handedness. 3.No cognitive dysfunction according to Montreal Cognitive Assessment Test (MoCA) 4.Giving written informed consent. INCLUSION CRITERIA (GROUP C) Clinical Controls 1.Diagnosed with Dementia according to ICD 10, DCR (WHO, 1993). 2.Age >50 years of either sex 3.No diagnosable severe mental illness, Psychoses, Mood disorders, Substance Use Disorders. 4.Giving written informed consent/assent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: EXCLUSION CRITERIA (GROUP A) 1.Underlying Organic disorders, Severe mental illness, substance use disorders, Psychosis, Mood disorders 2.Not giving written informed consent 3.Contraindications for MRI (Metallic Implants) EXCLUSION CRITERIA (GROUP B) 1.Current neurological or any comorbid major psychiatric disorders except nicotine or caffeine dependence. 2.History of substantial brain damage or any neurological procedures. 3.Presence of metallic implants. 4.Score of more than 3 on general health questionnaire GHQ-12. EXCLUSION CRITERIA (GROUP C) 1.Not willing to give informed consent. 2.Underlying severe mental illness, Psychoses, Mood disorders, Substance Use Disorders. 3.Presence of metallic implants. 4.Family History of Dementia  5.All forms of Secondary Dementias
