Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: primary school going children of age 5 to 10 years old, both sexes, diagnosed cases of having pinworm infestation (ICD- 10:B80)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: INTESTINAL INFECTIOUS DISEASES ICD 10- A00 TO A09, HELMINTHIASIS ICD 10- B65 TO B79, B81 TO B83

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
assessment of results will be based on perianal swab egg count of pinworm and clinical presentation of symptoms before and after treatment in both the control group and experimental group. It will be assessed under improved, not improved, worse, not reported or drop outTimepoint: every 4 weeks

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
after one year completion of study again in every 2 months interval follow up and perianal swab collection to see the autoinfection rateTimepoint: 1 year
