Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All females scheduled for benign vaginal hystrectomy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Allergic to tranexemic acid, history of seizures,history of venous or arterial thromboembolism or active thromboembolic disease, severe renal impairment

MeasureTime frame
To assess and compare the intraoperative estimation of blood loss (EBL) in Intervention group (Tranexemic acid) and Control group (saline)Timepoint: intraopertaively and 24 hours post procedure

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To analyse the need of intraoperative intravenous (IV) TXA (to be given only if blood loss is more than 500 ml),To identify the change in haemoglobin level /Haematocrit from preoperatively to 24 hours postoperation,To look for the requirement of blood transfusion during primary hospitalization,To observe the duration of surgery Timepoint: to assess duration of surgery compare preop and 24 hours post op Hemoglobin and hematocrit fall
