Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients between 18-65 years of age ASA I/II Patients scheduled for elective laparoscopic abdominal surgeries under general anaesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient having hearing-impairment Pregnant patients Patients having abnormal liver function tests Patients not willing to participate in the study

MeasureTime frame
The primary objective is to study effect of music on patients anxiety undergoing abdominal surgery under general anaesthesiaTimepoint: preoperatively 1 day prior, 6 hours after extubation

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To assess effect of music on patients Intra-operative haemodynamic changes Postoperative pain Quality of arousal from anaesthesia Timepoint: Haemodynamic parameters 2 minutes after induction of anaesthesia and every 10 minutes for one hour and then after every 30 minutes until end of procedure Pain 2, 6 hours after extubation Quality of arousal at the time of extubation
