Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Closed forearm fractures treated with ORIF with plating

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with known history of Cushing’s syndrome. 2. Patient on prolonged steroid intake 3. Associated neurovascular injuries 4. Documented connective tissue diseases. 5. If fracture duration is more than 4 weeks.

To assess the quality of scarTimepoint: Quality of scar histopathologically (collagen type) at the end of 3 months postoperatively and clinically using ASEPSIS score

1. Assessment of Surgical site infection by means of ASEPSIS SCORE 2. Clinical assessment of scar by PAOSAS(patient and observer scar as-sessment scale)Timepoint: 1. Asepsis score on 5th postop day. 2. PAOSAS score at the end of 3 months
