Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients between 18-50 yrs. of age, and regular diet habit. 2. Patients will be selected from Pathology laboratory of Roganidan and O.P.D. & I.P.D. of Kayachikitsa department of the institute. 3. Patients Having Hb 07-10 g/dl with moderate Anemia.. 4. Patients with confirm Positive sickling test with Type: HbAS or HbSS and presenting sign & symptoms of Sickle cell Anemia. 5. Patients willing to participate in clinical trial.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients who are pregnant and Lactating mother. 2. Patient Severe illness like Tuberculosis, Cancer, Cirrhosis of liver, aplastic anaemia etc. also be excluded. 3. Patients who will not come for regular follow up.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
( subjective criteria) Dutch-AIMS2 - HFF, Symptoms severity scale method 2006. Timepoint: 8 weeks

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
(Objective criteria):- 1. Haematological investigations (CBC –Hb %, RBC count, MCV, MCH, MCHC) 2. Sickling test by 2% sodium metabisulphite & Sickling Solubility test 3. Radiological investigations ( if required) Timepoint: 8 weeks
