To study if application of different levels of pressures at the end of breathing has any effects on pressures I the brain which can reflect as change in the pressure of nerve of the eye which can be studied with the help of ultrasonography

To study the Effects of two levels of Positive End-Expiratory Pressure (PEEP) by using Optic Nerve Sheath Diameter (ONSD) as a surrogate marker of Intracranial Pressures (ICP) in patients undergoing Laparoscopic cholecystectomy procedures: A Prospective Interventional Study

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To compare the effects of different values of PEEP (5cm H2O) vs (10cm H2O) on intracranial pressures (ICP) with ONSD as a surrogate marker in laparoscopic surgeriesTimepoint: 3 minutes after intubation, after abdominal insufflation at 5mins, 15mins, 30mins, after specimen out and 5 mins after de-sufflation.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Compare the effects of high PEEP on haemodynamic parameters and ventilation mechanics.Timepoint: 3 minutes after intubation, after abdominal insufflation at 5mins, 15mins, 30mins, after specimen out and 5 mins after de-sufflation.
