Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Type 2 diabetes mellitus patients of both sex with ages more than 35 years with a duration of diabetes of more than 5 years and less than 15 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Type 2 diabetic patients on insulin treatment 2. All patients with secondary diabetes and those on steroid therapy. 3. Pregnant and lactating females. 4. Patients with active infections like pneumonia, sepsis and critical illness. 5. Patients with chronic liver disease, acute hepatitis and malignancy. 6. Patients with renal impairment with GFR less than 45ml/min/1.73m2
