Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.The newly diagnosed Subjects of Madhumeha ( Diabetes mellitus type 2) according to classical sign and symptoms. 2. Subjects having any three of seven subjective criteria will be included. 3. Subjects having any two of three objective criteria will be included. 4. Subjects of madhumeha with age group of 25 to 65 years with irrespective of sex, religion and socioeconomical conditions. 5. Blood sugar fasting >=125 mg/dl and 6. Blood Sugar PP>=200 mg/dl and 7. HbA1c more than 5.7% up to7%.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Known cases of insulin dependent Diabetes Mellitus type 1 and gestational diabetes mellitus. 2. Known case of Diabetes mellitus with renal failure and other Diabetic complications (neuropathy, nephropathy) 3. Subjects known case of other systemic diseases like AIDS and CANCER,VDRL etc

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate the difference in HbA1C,BSL fasting and post pradnial with the use of Katankateriyadi kwatha in the management of Madhumeh for the period of 90 days.Timepoint: 90 days with follow up 30th, 60th, 90th days.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. To determine the efficacy of Katankateriyadi kwatha in the management of Madhumeha(Diabetes Mellitus Type 2). 2. To study the Samprapti of Madhumeha 3) To study the etiopathogenesis of Diabetes Mellitus Type 2Timepoint: Follow up on 30th, 60th, 90th day for the period of 90 days.
