Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1)Inactive mucosal chronic otitis media in both ears 9f same patients. 2)Central perforation of Pars tensa. 3)Age above 12 years.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1)Marginal perforation of Pars tensa. 2)Pus in the middle ear. 3)Stenotic external auditory canal. 4)Tympanosclerosis. 5)HIV and HBsAg positive patients. 6)Complicated chronic otitis media.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
1)Size of perforation after surgical myringoplasty or Medical myringoplasty. 2)Hearing gain or loss after individual procedure.Timepoint: 1 year.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1)Ear discharge following procedure in a previously dry/quiescent ear. 2)Pain ins8de the external canal after the procedure. 3)Pain above or behind the ear after the procedure. 4)Any other complications or after effects of procedure.Timepoint: 1 year
