Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria: Subjects between 18-45 years Subjects of both sexes will be included. Subjects with good physical and mental status. Subjects requiring surgical extraction of mandibular third molars, with difficulty index 5-7 as per Pedersonâ??s difficulty index.[18] Absence of any infection prior to the surgery. Subjects with non-palpable submandibular lymph nodes. Subjects who were not on antibiotics and analgesics for the last 7 days. Subjects consenting for the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria: Subjects who do not fall under ASA-1 classification Febrile subjects with an active infection elsewhere Subjects with an immune-compromised state. Subjects with a known drug and /or food allergy Uncooperative patients, mentally retarded patients. Pregnant or lactating mothers
