Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Ascitic patient with liver disease of different causes. 2.Patient with age group of 21-60. 3.Patients willing to participate in the research study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Ascites caused apart from liver diseases like cardiac ascites , malignant ascites, nephrogenic ascites etc. 2.Severe ascitic conditions as decided by the physician where ayurvedic intervention is not possible.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Proper documentation of the outcome of integrated treatment model approach for the management of ascites due to liver diseases.Timepoint: Starting from admission till discharge of patient and assessed daily/as required and follow-up for one month twice at the interval of 15 days after discharge.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Development of integrated protocol for the management of patients with ascites.Timepoint: Assessment of patients will be done daily.
