Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.ASA I and II patients of either sex. 2.Patients aged between 18 to 50 years. 3. Patients undergoing elective surgeries under general anaesthesia with endotracheal intubation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.History of allergy to study drug. 2.Renal and hepatic dysfunction. 3.Cerebrovascular disease, bronchial asthma, ischemic heart disease, seizure disorders. 4.Patients on drugs like antidepressants, antipsychotics, anxiolytics or anticonvulsants. 5.Patients with difficult airway. 6.Patients in whom Cormack and Lehane grade are 3 or 4, duration of laryngoscopy >30 seconds, unexpected difficulty in ventilation or intubation
