Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children in the age group of 1 to 5 years belonging to ASA physical status I and II undergoing elective surgery under general anaesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Obvious airway malformations (neck swelling or contractures, unstable cervical spine, facial bone fractures, oral or laryngeal malignancies, craniofacial anomalies) 2. Need for rapid sequence intubation with cricoid pressure 3. Obese children 4. Children who cannot stand 5. History of radiotherapy for head and neck pathology 6. History of cervical spine fixation 7. Parents refusal to participate in the study
