Intervention1: Tablet Moringa Oleifera 500mg as an adjunct to scaling and root planing: Tablet Moringa Oleifera 500mg will be provided orally once a day for 4 weeks along with scaling and root planing

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients with chronic periodontitis (moderate and severe) according to CDC criteria 2007. 2. Systemically healthy patients. 3. Presence of minimum 20 teeth.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients who have taken anti-inflammatory/antibiotic therapy prior to one month of beginning of study. 2. Tobacco habit in any form and alcoholics. 3. Pregnant and lactating women. 4. Patient with known allergy to Moringa oleifera / patient with confirmed intolerance to Moringa oleifera. 5. Subjects who have undergone periodontal treatment within six months of start of study.
