Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. >18 years old 2. Diagnosed as acute pancreatitis based on (any 2 out of the three) 1. Clinical presentation -acute onset characteristic abdominal pain 2. Serum amylase or lipase exceeding 3 times the upper limit of normal (100 IU/L) 3. Characteristic findings on abdominal ultrasonography and/or computed tomography
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Post-Instrumentation pancreatitis. 2. Traumatic pancreatitis 3. Known cases of chronic pancreatitis with a recurrent acute event
