Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: . Patients of both the sex between 26 to 55 years of age either sex. . Duration of illness up to 2years. . Pain in lumbar region with or without radiating . . Stiffness of the lumbar region. . Patients fulfilling the diagnostic criteria . . Patients willing to sign the consent for participation in study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Age below 26 years and above 55 years. • Patients having Spinal tumour, Tuberculosis, Malignant disease of the pelvis, fracture of spine,Congenital or Acquired skeletal deformity. • Any traumatic condition of spine leading to paralysis. • Recent lumbar surgery or implanted instrumentation or prosthesis. • Pregnant and lactating women. • Having Chronic pathologies eg. Ankylosing spondylosis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Psoriatic arthritis, Gouty arthritis or any other systemic illness.

It is expected that at the end of study we would be able to demonstrate the efficacy of Trayodashanga Guggulu and simhanada Guggulu along with Vishwadi-dwadashang kwath in the management of katigraha (lumbar spondylosis )Timepoint: 30days

SUBJECTIVE CRITERIA FOR ASSESSMENT . Pain in low back (katishool). .Stiffness in low back area(katistambha) . . Inability to twist or turn . . Tingling & Numbness in legs(suptta) . Difficulty in walking and standingTimepoint: 15th and 30th day
