Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients with moderate to severe chronic periodontitis with pocket depth >6mm with CAL > 6mm. Radiographic evidence of bone loss. Systemically healthy patients. Patients with no history of allergy to materials and drugs used or prescribed in the study The presence of two or more sextants containing two or more teeth pocket depth >6mm.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patient who has undergone periodontal treatment within a period of 1 year. Patients on any medication taken within the last 6 months which may alter the periodontal status. Chronic smokers and alcoholics. Pregnant and lactating females. Patient with present/past systemic illness known to affect the outcome of periodontal therapy.
