Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All adult patients aged above 18 years admitted to Indraprastha Apollo Hospital with MAP 2 mmol/liter attributed to septic shock according to surviving sepsis guidelines.1

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients who did not give consent for the participation of study 2. Patients under 18 years age 3. Pregnant 4. Acute heart failure with pulmonary edema 5. Non cardiogenic pulmonary edema 6. Patient with chest trauma 7. Burns 8. Suspected or raised intra-abdominal pressure 9. Chronic valvular heart diseases 10. Life threatening Arrhythmia 11. Chronic kidney disease

MeasureTime frame
Primary objective is to assess lactate clearance, change in PH, oxygenation index, amount of vasopressor used, the volume of fluid administered at the end of fluid resuscitationTimepoint: 6 hrs
