Intervention1: Curcumin: Curcumin 1 g/day is given 30 minutes before RT to the patients receiving concurrent CRT in head and neck cancer patients Control Intervention1: Placebo: Placebo agent is given

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with histopathologically proven head and neck cancers receiving CRT Karnofsky performance staus [KPS] > 70 % No prior chemotherapy or radiotherapy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who refuse to give consent General medical conditions preventing combined modality treatment Pregnancy or breastfeeding
