Intervention1: MET and Mirthful laughter: MET: 5 session per week for 4 weeks Mirthful laughter: 2 session per week for 4 weeks Control Intervention1: MET and TENS: MET: 5 session per week for 4 weeks

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Neck pain due to non traumatic musculoskeletal condition such as muscle tightness, muscle strain, ligament sprain, occupational activities such as mobile, desktop usage cumulative for 4 hours or more, psychosocial factors and/or lifestyle issues. 2. Neck pain >3 months 3. Age 20- 60 years 4. Both male and female

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Neurological conditions like nerve roots irritation due to herniated disc, osteophyte or spinal stenosis, etc 2. Traumatic Orthopaedic/ Neurological condition like spinal cord injury,etc 3. Recent history of surgery 4. Pregnancy 5. Physical conditions such as Epilepsy, bleeding haemorrhoids, urinary incontinence, persistent cough, nausea and vomiting etc

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To check the effectiveness of MET and mirthful laughter in chronic mechanical neck pain.Timepoint: Baseline, 2 weeks and 4 weeks

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To compare the effectiveness between MET combined with TENS and MET combined with mirthful Laughter in chronic mechanical neck pain. Timepoint: Baseline, 2 weeks and 4 weeks
