Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients scheduled to undergo elective surgery. 2. American Society of Anaesthesiologist (ASA) physical status I/II. 3. Age more than 60 years of either gender. 4. BMI equal to 18 to 30 kg / m2.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with pre-operative / existing cognitive dysfunction. 2. Patient refusing to give Informed Consent. 3. History of Psychiatric illness, Drug abuse. 4. Severe cardiovascular, respiratory, metabolic or neurological disease. 5. Coagulopathy. 6. Patients on steroids. 7. Morbid obesity (BMI >35 kg / m2)
