Interventions

Intervention1: Dexmedetomdine infusion: intraoperative intravenous Dexmedetomidine infusion (0.5mcg/kg/hour) will be started after intubation and will be continued throughout the duration of surgery

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients aged 2years to 12 years with posterior cranial fossa lesions Patients with American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status ( I-III)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. with intracranial lesions in locations other than posterior cranial fossa 2. requiring post-operative mechanical ventilation 3. with atria-ventricular blocks 4. with liver and kidney dysfunction 5. with refusal of informed consent by self/parent or the relative 6. preoperative opioid use 7. not positioned on head pin holder
